Outputs publish the canvas to the rest of the system, one destination each.
Open Outputs in the side panel, pick a protocol, and configure it. Enabled outputs receive the composed canvas every frame.
| Protocol | Platforms | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| NDI | macOS, Windows, Linux | Advertise the canvas on the network |
| DeckLink | macOS, Windows, Linux | Play out to SDI or HDMI |
| Syphon | macOS | Share the canvas as a GPU texture |
| Spout | Windows | Share the canvas as a GPU texture |
Outputs run at the application’s frame rate, while each consumer reads at its own rate. When a destination is busy, Multiviewer skips a frame for that output rather than stalling the canvas, so a slow consumer does not affect the others or the compositor.
These outputs share the canvas as a GPU texture with no readback, which keeps latency low for other applications on the same machine. They are only active while a consumer is connected.
